What it was

A full day of neuroscience competition for high school students, modelled on the format of the official Brain Bee.

Competitors worked through a written and neuroanatomy round, a patient-diagnosis video round, and then a live oral final for the top ten finalists. Guest judges — assistant professors from the University of Washington’s neuroscience department — opened the day and scored the rounds.

The event raised $550 for the Alzheimer’s Association.
